Public Works Management System

Every job in the field, on the map.

Public Works Management System lets an organisation follow its road, pavement and utility works on a single map, from work order to progress payment.

Work orders are followed on a single board.

From survey to sign-off, each job’s status, crew and location are kept in the same record.

Excavation permits, site photos and workload by area.

Excavation permits are followed date by date.

A utility excavation is recorded in dated steps from the start of the permit to the repair; digs that clash on the same route show up in advance.

  1. 6 Oct

    Permit starts

Route and date range enter the record.

  2. 7–12 Oct

    Excavation

The road shows as closed on the map while the permit runs.

  3. 13 Oct

    Expiry warning

A dig that has not closed is flagged.

  4. 14 Oct

    Repair work order

Repairing the road opens as a job of its own.

Start-of-job and end-of-job photos

The crew takes a photo when the job starts and when it ends; each is added to the work order with its place and time.

Open jobs by area

Open jobs are grouped by neighbourhood; the amount waiting is shown on the map in three steps.

Materials, measurements and payments are tied to the work order.

  1. Materials and depot

Material leaving the depot is written to the work order.

  2. Survey and quantities

Measurements are taken on site and kept in the work order.

  3. Progress payment

Completed work items are totalled in the period-end payment.

  4. Work programme

The week’s jobs are planned together with crews and vehicles.

Frequently asked

01 / 06

Which jobs are recorded?

Asphalt patching, pavement and kerb repair, manhole covers, construction works and excavations. Job types follow the organisation’s own work items.

02 / 06

How are excavation permits followed?

Each permit is recorded with the type of dig, the route and the date range. While it runs, the road shows as closed on the map; an expired permit is flagged.

03 / 06

How is an AI suggestion applied?

The suggested priority and crew are presented to the person in charge. No job is assigned until they approve or change it.

04 / 06

Does it work with the other modules?

Yes. Machinery and vehicles are followed in the Fleet Tracking System; jobs and vehicles share the same map.

05 / 06

Is extra hardware needed?

No. The system works with the information already in the organisation’s job and permit records. Field devices can be supplied if wanted.

06 / 06

How does setup begin?

Open jobs, current excavation permits and the organisation’s work items are put on the map. New jobs open with a record from day one.
